Southern Society is a four-piece Band from North Central Florida with an Authentic and Powerful Southern Rock Sound. Last summer we had the guys in the studio to record a few originals, and by the end of the day the band tracked three songs. Almost all the tracking was completed during our first session, but Alan and Terry both came back a couple weeks later to track their vocals again separately, and also to record a couple additional guitar parts. The multi-track session was then Mixed and Mastered, and synched to multi-camera video recorded during the original tracking session.

Terry explains “Southern Sounds pays homage to a genre of music and artists that have had a huge impact on my playing style and the rest of the band for that matter”.
When I asked Alan about River Styx Bridge he replied… “I wrote this song at about 25 yrs old. The opening riff I’d been messing around with for about a year. I said “You know, I should write a song and start it with that riff”. So I looked back to when I was a kid and a place I use to fish at called River Styx came to mind, and the rest is history!”.
“Written around 2007/8 It’s one of the easiest songs I’ve written. It came together quickly and decisively with little effort. To me it’s one of those songs that can set the mood for the day.” says Terry about Ain’t So Bad.
